Through the Exodus program model, ex-offenders are provided a chance to change their destiny along with that of their children. At Exodus they re-invent themselves by developing life and money management skills, becoming employed, starting a savings account, and most importantly – becoming a positive influence for their children to make correct life choices. Purpose, self-esteem, courage and trust are integrated into the “new” parent role model and passed on to their children where the wounds from incarceration are most often the deepest.
Belle & Sparrows will partner with Exodus on a regular basis to pamper these moms, feed them and lead them in a Bible Study, prayer and encouragement! Local trips fill quickly see links below:

Emily’s Place provides long-term housing that is critical for helping domestic violence survivors permanently escape abuse. It is the “bridge” from a shelter, which typically allows women a safe place for 30 to 90 days, to independent living, free of the barriers preventing them from achieving self-sufficiency away from their abusers.
Belle & Sparrows partners with Emily’s Place every other month to come alongside them in the journey and let them know they are worthy and loved and have continued support.

HIA is intentional with their women. They don’t just give them a drug test and a bed. They develop their leadership skills, craft their character, and chase after success together; one day at a time.
We are SO excited to begin a partnership with Hope Is Alive, KC!

Belle and Sparrows partners with Christ for All Nations and the Navajo women from Lybrook. Training and artisan business kits are brought to the women so they can learn a skill and earn income. With each trip, a business different kit is introduced, and different hand-crafted item is taught so the women can keep adding to their small business. To date, the women have made hand embroidered tea towels and beaded leather earrings.
Guatemala
Belle and Sparrows partners with Welcome to My Father's House and the women from the village of Tabacal. Training and artisan business kits are brought to the women so they can learn a skill and earn income. With each trip, a different skill is introduced, and different style of card making is taught so the women can keep adding to their small business. To date, the women have learned three different techniques of greeting cards to make and sell.
Haiti
Belle and Sparrows partners with Real Hope for Haiti and the women from the village of Cazale. Training and artisan business kits were introduced to a group of 17 foster moms who are caring for disabled, abandoned children. These women are learning skills so they can earn income. With each trip, a different business kit is given, and hand-crafted skills are taught so the women can keep adding to their small business. To date, the women have been taught to applique on tea towels and make beaded crosses by hand.
